- Suspected bandits have abducted the wife and son of the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Yauri Local Government Area of Kebbi State after invading his residence in a midnight attack.

Suspected bandits have kidnapped the wife and son of the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yauri Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Yusuf Alhasan.
According to reports, the gunmen stormed Alhasan’s residence in the Low-Cost area of Yauri at about midnight on Monday and forcibly took the two victims to an unknown destination.
The incident was disclosed by security analyst and conflict reporter Bakatsine in a post shared on X.
Details surrounding the attack remain unclear, and there has been no immediate official statement from security agencies or the Kebbi State Government regarding the abduction.
The latest incident has further heightened concerns over the deteriorating security situation in parts of Kebbi State, where communities have continued to grapple with cases of kidnapping, banditry and other violent attacks.
As of the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of the APC chairman’s wife and son remained unknown, while security operatives were yet to provide an update on efforts to secure their release.
