The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has approved Thursday, July 9, 2026, as the official passing-out date for 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream I corps members nationwide.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the scheme’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, and shared on the NYSC’s official X account on Wednesday.
According to the statement, activities leading up to the passing-out exercise commenced on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, and will culminate in the distribution of Certificates of National Service (CNS) to eligible corps members across the country.
Full List of Activities Ahead of the POP
- Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC) by NYSC and relevant agencies.
- Registration and clearance of corps members by Local Government Inspectors (LGIs).
- Signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors.
- Distribution of Certificates of National Service to eligible corps members.
The scheme noted that only corps members who have satisfactorily completed all requirements of the national service programme would receive their certificates.
Meanwhile, NYSC Director-General, Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated the outgoing corps members and wished them a successful winding-up and passing-out exercise.
He also urged them to uphold the values of the scheme and remain good ambassadors of the NYSC as they move into the next phase of their lives.
