- Former Minister Uche Nnaji has been arrested at Abuja airport over alleged certificate forgery and is expected to be handed over to the ICPC for further investigation.

Former Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has been arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, over allegations of certificate forgery.
According to reports, Nnaji was arrested shortly after arriving from Enugu aboard a chartered flight and is expected to be handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for interrogation.
The arrest follows an ongoing ICPC investigation into claims that the former minister forged his academic certificates. In June, a Federal High Court in Abuja granted the anti-graft agency permission to arrest Nnaji after he allegedly failed to honour several invitations for questioning.
The court also authorised the ICPC to declare him wanted through newspapers, social media platforms, and other media outlets.
Authorities said repeated efforts to secure his appearance for investigation were unsuccessful, prompting the commission to obtain a court order for his arrest.
As of the time of filing this report, the ICPC had not issued an official statement on the arrest, while Nnaji and his representatives are yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
