Water And Garri: Tiwa Savage Makes Her First Lead Acting Debut

Tiwatope Savage, professionally known as Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian Afro-singer, songwriter and actress will be making her first lead role in a movie titled “Water and Garri”

VerseNews reports that the movie tells a story of Aisha, as successful fashion designer with a progressive career in the United States (US) who returns to her home in Africa to confront the guilt she left behind.

Tiwa will be taking up the lead role of Aisha and her music ”Water and Garri music” released in 2021 featured as the film’s original sound track.

Announcing the movie, Tiwa wrote on her verified Instagram account;

“This is about to be an ICONIC moment. My first lead role as an actor and Executive producer

Shot in the city of Cape Coast in Ghana, the movie is a joint collaboration of African Production Company “Unbound Studio” and “JM Films”

Tiwa alongside Meji Alabi will be directing the movie with the script writer, comfort Emmanuel.

Others featuring in the movie include, Jimi Adesanya and Vannessa as the executive producers alongside Alabi. Mike Ogbonna, Andrew Bunting and Jemima.
