The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has appointed recently resigned APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, as the Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

This surprising appointment was confirmed in a video posted on X by the minister’s Special Adviser on Digital Media, Gbenga Saka, on Wednesday.

The timing of the announcement – coming just days after Ganduje’s sudden resignation from the APC’s top leadership – has sparked speculation in political circles, with some questioning whether the move was part of a broader political arrangement within the ruling party.

As chairman of FAAN, Ganduje will now play a key role in overseeing operations and policies across Nigeria’s major airports, a sensitive and strategic sector.

Neither the Presidency nor the APC has issued an official statement explaining the rationale behind his swift redeployment to a high-profile federal board.
