President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly sacked the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, in what is being described as a significant shake-up in Nigeria’s security leadership.

According to a report gathered by VerseNews, sources revealed that Egbetokun was asked to step down during a meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.

He is expected to be replaced by Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, with preparations already underway for a formal handover ceremony.
