The Federal Government has announced June 12 as a public holiday to celebrate Democracy Day.

Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo urged citizens to reflect on the nation’s progress and emphasized President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to economic reforms and security.

The Federal Government has announced that Wednesday, June 12, will be a public holiday to celebrate Democracy Day this year.

VerseNews reports that in a statement on Tuesday, Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through Permanent Secretary Dr. Aishetu Ndayako, congratulated Nigerians on the occasion.

The statement encouraged citizens to reflect on the contributions of the nation’s founding fathers and to strive for a united, secure, and peaceful Nigeria.
