- France booked their place in the FIFA World Cup semi-finals with an impressive victory over Morocco, but concerns remain over Kylian Mbappé after the star forward was forced off late in the match.

France cruised into the FIFA World Cup semi-finals with a convincing victory over Morocco, although the win was overshadowed by a late injury scare involving Kylian Mbappé.
The French captain recovered from an early setback after seeing his penalty saved, before producing a superb curling finish to give his side the lead.
The goal was Mbappé’s eighth of the tournament, drawing him level with Lionel Messi in the race for the Golden Boot.
Mbappé later turned provider, setting up Ousmane Dembélé to score France’s second goal with a composed low finish.
Despite another dominant display, France will now sweat over the fitness of their star forward after he was forced off in the closing stages of the match.
The extent of the injury has not yet been confirmed.
France will face the winner of the quarter-final between Spain and Belgium for a place in the World Cup final.
The remaining quarter-final fixtures will see:
- Spain vs Belgium
- Norway vs England
- Argentina vs Switzerland
France remain one of the tournament favourites as they continue their quest for another World Cup title, with supporters hoping Mbappé will be fit in time for the semi-final.
