- Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo says a healthy sex life contributes to a woman’s glow as she reflects on single motherhood, becoming a grandmother and why she now avoids unnecessary public fights.

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has sparked conversation after speaking candidly about relationships, single motherhood and life as a grandmother during an appearance on The Morayo Show.
Discussing what she believes contributes to a woman’s youthful appearance and confidence, the actress said happiness and the quality of one’s relationship matter more than marital status.
“We (single mothers) are happy. I think some married women are happy too. I don’t think it’s about being single or being married. I think it’s about the person that you’re with. Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow. I’m getting more than enough.”
Beyond the viral remark, Ojo reflected on her journey as a single mother, describing the success of her children as one of her greatest achievements.
“It makes me feel good, happy, and fulfilled,”
she said while speaking about watching her children grow and thrive.
The actress also revealed that becoming a grandmother has changed the way she handles public criticism and controversy. According to her, she has deliberately become less confrontational in order to protect her daughter and her new family from unnecessary stress.
“I have piped down because of my grandson now. My daughter is married, so when I keep fighting, the opposite side is going to come up with different false allegations, and I don’t want her going through any stress. But if the need arises for me to speak up, then I will.”
Ojo disclosed that she travelled to Canada to perform the traditional omugwo for her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, following the birth of her grandson.
She also reiterated that she intentionally put aside personal differences with her ex-husband during Priscilla’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, insisting that children should never suffer because of issues between their parents.
Priscilla and Juma Jux welcomed their first child, Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada in August 2025 after announcing their pregnancy earlier that year. Their wedding ceremonies across Nigeria and Tanzania became some of the most talked-about celebrity events of 2025.
