A former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has cautioned former Rivers State Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to remember that “only God knows tomorrow.”

Eze, now a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed concern over Wike’s perceived arrogance, accusing him of acting as though he controls the fate of others.

According to him, “no man, no matter how highly placed, should take the place of God in the affairs of men.”

He said many Nigerians are growing increasingly alarmed by the way Wike goes about “boasting and insulting perceived political foes as if he owns life.”

Eze further stated that if Wike truly had the power of life and death, “anybody who goes against his will certainly, will die.”

He also dismissed Wike’s influence over former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, insisting that the former governor of Rivers State remains politically relevant and is far from being sidelined.

According to Eze, “he [Wike] doesn’t know what tomorrow holds,” adding confidently that “Amaechi will surely return to power with other democrats and progressives.”

Taking aim at the current government, Eze said Wike and his new political ally, President Bola Tinubu, should brace themselves for political backlash in the next general election.

“Wike and his current boss, President Bola Tinubu, should be worried because Nigerians were waiting to kick them out of office in 2027 and not Amaechi or any other member of the coalition,” he declared.

Eze argued that the 2027 general elections would not simply be a contest between political parties, but between the ruling APC and “Nigerians, impoverished by Tinubu’s clueless administration.”

He pointed to the government’s failure to tackle economic hardship and rising insecurity as major reasons why Nigerians are disillusioned.

Quoting Amaechi, Eze said: “Just like Amaechi said, President Tinubu has disappointed Nigerians.”

“His leadership style, if he has any, has plunged Nigeria into a state of quagmire, hopelessness,” he added.
