  • United Nigeria Airlines deboarded popular influencers VeryDarkMan and Mr. Jollof from Flight UN0523 after they exchanged punches at Asaba International Airport, with authorities taking them into custody for investigation.

The United Nigeria Airline has confirmed that Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, and Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, widely called Mr. Jollof, were deboarded from its Flight UN0523 on Monday, November 17, following a physical altercation at Asaba International Airport.

In a statement signed by the airline’s Public Relations Officer, Chibuike Uloka, the airline said crew members acted immediately to de-escalate the situation in line with global aviation safety protocols.

This incident adds to a growing list of airport altercations in Nigeria. In August, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority blacklisted Fuji musician K1 De Ultimate for six months after breaching security protocols at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. Likewise, an Ibom Air passenger, Comfort Emmanson, reportedly attacked crew members and airport security officials at Lagos’ Murtala Mohammed International Airport earlier this year.
