The operation led to the arrest of some organizers found with drug exhibits.
The NDLEA conducted a raid in Osogbo, Osun State, where a night party for illicit substance abuse was planned.
VerseNews reports that the operation led to the arrest of some organizers found with drug exhibits.
The agency acted on credible intelligence about a night party called “Unholy Alliance…for Stoners and Drunkards,” where illicit substances would be sold and consumed.
Soon after the organisers began to gather at Berrymist Lounge located at Ofatedo area of Osogbo to start the party, NDLEA operatives swooped on them, arrested them and recovered illicit substances of abuse and drug paraphernalia from them.
Those arrested include: Ikotu Omolayo, 25; Fola Olabode, 30, and Akorede Adunni Ajibola, 22. The management of the Lounge has also been invited for further investigation.
The agency also announced that the main organizer of the party, 30-year-old Gbemileke Adelola (aka BIG LHYNZ ) has been taken into custody on Sunday morning by it’s operatives.
This comes on the heels of an earlier raid on Thursday 23rd Nov. at Area 5 forest reserve, Ile-Ife where operatives recovered 156kgs of cannabis sativa.
In a separate operation in Ogun State, two suspects were arrested with 859 kilograms of cannabis sativa hidden among bags of sugar in a truck.
Other operations in Edo, Lagos, and Onitsha resulted in the seizure of drugs and arrests.
