He wrote; “I would like to heartily congratulate our own International superstar, @victorosimhen9, who just won the Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC) Player of the Year award for the 2022/23 Serie A Season.

“Osimhen who stars for SSC Napoli got the award after leading his club to the Italian league championship after scoring a record 25 goals to become the league’s highest goals scorer, the first African footballer to achieve the feat in that country.

“He was also the first Nigerian to be named in the top ten of the Ballon d’Or, and also made the final shortlist for the 2023 CAF Footballer of the year. Such success stories of Nigerian youths as this, are not only heartwarming but rekindle the fire of hope for a better tomorrow in our youths that, irrespective of the obstacles on their way to success, they rise and succeed. I wish Osimhen more success in his football career. I am certain that every Nigerian youth is individually gifted and talented.

“My mission is to see a New Nigeria where every youth will have the platform to explore their talents, develop their skills, contribute to national development and compete effectively on the global stage
