Victor Osimhen Ignores Arsenal, Chelsea, Moves To Sign Napoli New Deal With €130 Release Clause

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen is set to sign a new contract with Napoli.

VerseNews reports that according to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the fresh deal will be valid until June 2026.

A release clause believed to be around €130m will also be included.

Romano tweeted: “Napoli reach an agreement in principle with Victor Osimhen on new contract with release clause included!

“It will be valid until June 2026, one more year.

“Final value of the clause, TDB — could be around €130m as per Sky.

“Official announcement expected soon.”

Osimhen finished eighth in the 2023 Ballon d’Or rankings and was named CAF Player of the Year just this week.

Following the new development, Corriere dello Sport via TMW reported that Osimhen’s agent, Calenda, was in the stands of the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona to watch Napoli’s win over Braga, and he is now expected to meet De Laurentiis.

The meeting could be the key step forward for the Nigerian striker’s contract renewal, which still hasn’t been finalised despite the Napoli president’s claims earlier this month that the parties were at ‘the signing stage’.

Osimhen could command interest in the January transfer window should his contract renewal not get finalised before next month, being the most exciting centre-forward available in the transfer market currently.
