A beautiful Nigerian lady, who is a teacher, has taken to her social media page as she shared a touching note and some Naira notes she received from her student upon resumption of school.
VerseNews gathered that the teacher, who can be identified as Adaobi Amadi, took to her X page as she revealed that her student welcomed her in open arms on Tuesday, January 9.
The young lad, however, slipped the note into her hands after giving her a tight hug.
Adaobi, unable to open the letter initially, discovered a touching note containing N200 and N100 bills when she eventually had the opportunity to read it.
In the note, the student wished her teacher a happy resumption and proceeded to pray for her financial breakthrough, wishing her family good health and prosperity.
The note reads, “Happy resumption day, Aunty Ada and a happy new year. This year I wish blessings, miracles favour, financial breakthroughs to you.
“Goodhealth to you and your family, long life and prosperity. Wishing you a properous new year. 2024 Please receive what I have for you”.
While the teacher appreciated the thoughtful gesture, she disclosed that she could not accept such a gift from her student. She considered the possibility that the pupil, not being affluent, might have sacrificed her transport money to present this gift.
“Earlier today, a student slipped this folded note into my hand after giving me a hug. I was very busy at the time so I didn’t open it. I just put it in my bag and later forgot about it. I was checking my bag now, saw the note and opened it”.
“It’s such a beautiful gesture… but I’m thinking to return the money (with a little extra ofcourse). She’s not a ‘rich kid’ and this might have been her transport money or something. But I’m wondering… wouldn’t it hurt her feelings if I return it?”
“Also, wouldn’t adding extra make other students think this might be a potential money doubling scheme for them to cash out from?😩😄 What to do?” she wrote.
