• Senator Ned Nwoko and Nollywood star Regina Daniels have publicly clashed amid their ongoing marital crisis, trading shocking allegations involving drug abuse, manipulation, and harassment — a dispute that has set social media ablaze.

The senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko, and his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, have engaged in a public war of words over their deteriorating marriage, with both parties levelling explosive allegations ranging from drug abuse to emotional manipulation and harassment.

The crisis escalated on Saturday, when Nwoko took to his X handle, accusing Regina’s brother, Sammy, of harassing his children and domestic staff, despite claiming he had supported Sammy financially through school and accommodation.

“These videos show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly coming to my home and harassing my children and domestic staff, especially whenever I was not around,” Nwoko wrote, adding that he sponsored Sammy’s education at the University of Ekpoma and spent over ₦125 million on Regina’s mother within two years.

The lawmaker further alleged that Sammy introduced Regina to drugs, sabotaging her rehabilitation process.

“In fact, Lawrence and Sammy were the ones who first introduced and supplied these drugs to her. Rather than helping her recover, they kept drawing her back into the same destructive habit,” he claimed.

According to Nwoko, his efforts to help Regina through rehabilitation were obstructed by her friends and family, who allegedly smuggled drugs to her despite doctors’ instructions to restrict their access.
He recounted an incident where Sammy allegedly showed up at his house at 4 a.m., demanding confrontation after being asked to remove his girlfriend from the residence.

“Without the influence of drugs, could he have been so bold and disrespectful?” Nwoko questioned, defending his decision to involve law enforcement and describing a circulating video as “a staged Nollywood scene filmed in front of my house.”

Regina Daniels Fires Back

Responding via Instagram on Sunday morning, Regina admitted to past drug use but dismissed Nwoko’s claims as exaggerated and manipulative, accusing him of weaponizing her vulnerability to tarnish her image.

“Ned, how could you lie so openly and without remorse? You know my family has nothing to do with this, and now you’re making them look bad,” she wrote.

The actress insisted that her substance use was not the root cause of their marital issues:
“Fine, I did drugs — so what? Is that the issue between us? You ran to the media shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs’ because you wanted to distract from the real issue.”

She accused Nwoko of trying to isolate her from loved ones and control her through fear, claiming he even encouraged her drug use for his personal satisfaction.
“You say you want me to go for rehab, but you’re the same Ned who always wanted me high because you said I was ‘sexier’ that way,” she alleged.

Regina also accused him of sexual assault, forced sedation, and confinement, claiming he seized her phones and instructed doctors to administer drugs meant for patients with bipolar disorder whenever she disagreed with him.

“No matter how much you think you spent on me, it can never equal the time and opportunities I lost with you,” she wrote, stressing that there was no legal marriage between them.
“For the record, we were never married in any court of law. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force,” she added.

The couple’s feud comes weeks after reports of domestic violence and the arrest of Regina’s brother, Sammy, who was later transferred to Abuja and remanded by court order.
