Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has publicly criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over escalating insecurity and worsening economic conditions in Nigeria.

In recent months, several states have witnessed a spike in kidnappings, bandit attacks, and violent crimes, while inflation and the rising cost of basic goods have intensified the hardships faced by ordinary Nigerians.

Reacting on his social media accounts, Edochie questioned the Tinubu administration’s handling of these challenges.

“Dear President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, bandits are gradually taking over the whole country, spilling the blood of Nigerians without consequences. Nigerians are being kidnapped in numbers daily. Things are so expensive that the suffering is unbearable for Nigerians. Is this the renewed hope you promised Nigerians?” he wrote.

In a follow-up post, the actor, previously known for supporting the Tinubu administration, urged decisive action against criminal elements.

“Dear President Tinubu, You have the capacity to crush these bandits and kidnappers who are killing Nigerians daily and even posting it on social media. It’s a slap on your face, Mr. President. Nigerians are now afraid to travel, afraid to move around. Every day, innocent lives are being wasted. If you need foreign assistance, seek it. Go hard on these criminals and crush them,” Edochie added.
