- Music icon 2Baba says the petition filed by his family against his wife, Natasha Osawaru, has caused serious damage, revealing she is now receiving death threats.

Music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has reacted to the petition filed by members of his family against his wife, Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker representing the Edo State House of Assembly.
The petition, sent to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, accused Natasha of bigamy, financial misconduct and assault. The Idibia family claimed that her actions had damaged the singer emotionally and financially.
However, in a video posted on Friday via the 2Baba House Instagram page, the 50-year-old dismissed the allegations and said his family’s actions had caused him more harm than good.
“This whole thing has gotten dangerously out of hand. I’m not going to be quiet anymore,” he said.
“My family has destroyed me in the name of trying to help. Natasha is getting death threats right now.”
2Baba, who recently performed at an event in Abuja, insisted he was fine and actively in public.
He expressed frustration that attempts to “save him” were instead ruining his life.
“How can you say you’re trying to save somebody’s life and you’re messing my whole life up?” he asked.
The singer disclosed that Natasha had been receiving threats daily, describing the situation as unfair and fabricated.
He also pointed to a pattern of interference from his family.
“My family did the same thing with Annie. We all have our differences… but this has become so dangerous. I am totally devastated.”

2Baba rejected claims that he was mentally unstable.
“I’m perfectly normal. Painting me as unstable is ridiculous. This has to stop.”

Appeal to Stop Threats
The singer appealed to those sending threats to his wife to stop immediately.
“All the people sending death threats, please stop it. We are fine.”
He urged his family to stay away from his marriage.
“Stay out of my private life. You say you’re helping me, but you’re killing me.”
2Baba added that he would speak more openly in the coming days but needed space.
