Series of videos circulating on social media platforms records frustrated Nigerians living abroad destroying their International passport after witnessing the election violence and intimidation the 2023 general election.

The election witness nationwide attacks, election violence, voters suppression snatching of ballot papers and results manipulation by thugs alleged to be members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Also, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) failed to transmit the election results to the Integrated Result Portal (IReV) using the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) as stated in the Electoral Act 2022.
The election results were collated manually at the different polling units and were opposed by opposing political parties and agents on the ground that it lacks credibility and transparency.
Despite the challenges and attacks witnessed across many states in Nigeria, the INEC chairman, Professor, Mahmood Yakubu went ahead and declare Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of All Progressive Party (APC) winner of the presidential election.
Many Nigerians, especially the ‘Obidient supporters’ rejected the election result announced by INEC, insisted that they were enfranchised at their polling units and that Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) is the winner of the election.
As it stands today, Obi and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party has gone to the Supreme Court of Nigeria the challenge the election process and results announced by the INEC.
On Saturday, March 25, the Governorship Election was conducted in 28 states in Nigeria. The results announced so far have seemed to contradict the ‘will of the people.’
Nigerians expected to have a better chance to choose their leaders in the Governorship and States of House Assembly election but what happened in the presidential election was replicated in different states especially Lagos State.

This Online News Media understand that the election violence has been focused as an attacked against the Igbos tribe who are part of the ‘Obidient Movements’ by the Yorubas.
The security agents have denied widespread of violence and voters suppressions in Lagos State.
Reacting to the situations, Nigerians living abroad said ‘Nigeria is a failed State’ and have vowed never to have anything to do with the country again until the right thing is done.
One of them while tearing his passport said “he wanted Peter Obi to be the President of Nigeria no because he is Igbo but because of what he has to offer, what he brings to the table for Nigerians, but because of what has transpired in the last election, he refused to be associated with anything regarding to Nigeria.”
