The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has dismissed the rumor that the Nigeria’s President-Elect secretly rushed to Europe for a medical treatment after the Governorship and States of Assembly election.

VerseNews Nigeria earlier reported that a source who craved anonymity said, Tinubu jets out of Nigeria to Europe in his plane Falcon 9X with registration number VP-CBT.

Responding to the report, Keyamo said is a strategy for opposition parties to campaign against his victory as the declared President-Elect.

He cautioned news Medias to stop spreaking campaign fake news and allow Tinubu to have some rest.

“Please help us tell those flying the news around that the election has ended. What they are doing now is campaigning after the election. They should leave Asiwaju alone. He deserves some rest after the election,” Keyamo said

Responding to Tinubu’s travel, Keyamo said, “I cannot confirm. But all I can tell you is that Asiwaju is hale and hearty.”

This Online News Media reports that Tinubu’s Media Aide, Tunde Rahman had in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja said the former Lagos Governor left the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos to Europe on Tuesday night to take a break after the hectic campaign and elections.

He added that Tinubu will also be going to Saudi Arabia on Thursday to observe the Ramadan praying and fasting.

“The President-elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London.

“Preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan fasting that begins Thursday.

“While away, the President-elect will also use the opportunity to plan his transition programme,” Rahman said.

He warned that Media platforms should be mindful of what they publish online adding that they should always contact Tinubu’s media office before making any publish.
