The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in chaos as their first witness refused to show at the Presidential Election Petition Court on Monday July, 3.

VerseNews Nigeria reports that Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP) have established strong case against INEC at the presidential election’s tribunal sitting in Abuja over the 2023 presidential election that gave Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) victory.

The LP and its presidential candidate, Obi concluded their case against Tinubu at the tribunal after producing a number of documents to support their case.

This Online News Media gathered that INEC was supposed to present their witnesses on Monday, they assured the court and Nigerians that they would provide a robust defence showing the 2023 presidential election was free, fair and transparent.

According to A.B. Mahmoud {SAN}, the attorney for INEC, the witness who were scheduled to testify were unavoidably absent from the court.

The PEPC, headed by Justice Haruna Tsammani theirfore adjourned the hearing until Tuesday July 4.

Briefly after the hearing, one of the legal counsels to the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar revealed that a witness presented by the  (INEC), stated that only 31% of the 2023 presidential election result uploaded on the INEC Server, is mathematically accurate.

Speaking to our journalists the legal counsel said: “We are very happy, that today, the final report of an international observer group, accredited duly by INEC, that is the European Union Observation Mission, their final report was today tendered and admitted in evidence by the court.

“And you see that the witness who came from INEC, a director, read out the findings in that reports, which clearly stated that the election fell below expectations, and that only thirty-one percent (31%), of what was reported was mathematically accurate. So, we think that this is a very good one”.
