In a heart-wrenching announcement, the Nollywood community mourns the untimely passing of Cindy Amadi, a talented actress known for her role as Adaora in the lesbian film “Ife.”

VerseNews learnt that the news of her demise was conveyed by the film’s producers via their Instagram account, @ife_movie, on Thursday.

Cindy Amadi, who co-starred alongside Uzomaka Aniunoh from MTV Shuga in “Ife,” was celebrated for her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft.

The film, directed by Nyaiedu Ikpe-Etim, a sister of Nse Ikpe-Etim, portrayed a poignant love story between two Nigerian women, Ìfé and Adaora.

The announcement on the movie’s Instagram page expressed profound grief: “We are greatly, deeply, and unbelievably saddened to learn about the passing of Cindy Amadi, who played Adaora in #féthemovie.”

The post further highlighted Cindy’s enthusiasm for her career and the indelible impact she left on the set.

Pamela Adie, a producer associated with the film, also paid her respects on her Instagram story, expressing regret that Cindy couldn’t see the completion of the sequel they had planned.

She vowed to complete it in honor of the late actress.
