The Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has nullified the victory of Governor Abdullahi Sule.

VerseNews reports that a three-man panel, led by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, delivered the judgment via Zoom, declaring Emmanuel Ombudagu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner.

Two judges agreed that the election was won by the PDP, while one dissented.

The tribunal found that the petitioner had proven their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

This decision overturns the earlier declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that Abdullahi Sule won the governorship election in Nasarawa State in March with 347,209 votes, defeating David Ombugadu of the PDP who received 283,016 votes
