The NYSC further directed that graduates who obtained their qualifications abroad should submit original copies of evaluation letters issued by the Federal Ministry of Education (where applicable) at the NYSC Headquarters in Abuja and upload the acknowledged copies online.

Emphasising the importance of the process, the Corps stated that only those physically verified and cleared would be eligible for deployment, exemption, or exclusion from national service.

The NYSC recently extended the online registration period for Batch ‘C’ by 48 hours due to network challenges experienced by some prospective corps members.

The verification exercise comes amid ongoing efforts by the NYSC to curb the use of fake or unaccredited foreign certificates, following reports of degree mills abroad issuing fraudulent academic qualifications.
