Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has sparked widespread reactions on social media after sharing her views on self-worth, survival and personal growth during an interview on Morayo’s show.

Speaking candidly, the actress advised young women not to feel pressured into exposing their bodies or seeking online validation in a bid to gain attention, popularity or financial success.

“The seeds that you sow matter. You don’t have to show your bo%bs to be sexy, and you don’t have to shake your b¥mb¥m to go viral,” she said.

Shaffy Bello also addressed the economic realities confronting many young women, stressing that while she does not judge anyone trying to survive difficult circumstances, such situations should not become a permanent way of life.

“If what you are doing now is being a r¥ns girl to make money, you don’t have to stay there. I understand it, I never judge,” she stated.

According to the actress, financial hardship can sometimes push people into difficult choices, especially when they are responsible for supporting family members or meeting urgent needs.

“If that’s what you have to do right now to make a living, feed your mum or send your siblings to school, fine, but don’t stay there,” she added.

Her remarks quickly generated mixed reactions online, with many social media users sharing different opinions on the controversial topic.

@Remicy3 commented: “Nobody had ever found it easy to abandon where he is making money, no matter how bad it is. Reasons tinubu is still into drugs even as president, many Yahoo guys still into Yahoo even as they made fortunes through it, politicians hardly survive outside politics, etc. Criminals hardly leave crime unless by the grace of God and share determination, especially if that’s where they made their first fortunes in life. So expecting a hookup or ashawo to leave such work after making a killing from it, is as difficult as a horse passing through the eye of a needle 🪡.”

@wesleygold1 remarked: “It’s not easy to stop once you get used to d lifestyle … Dis your advice get K Leg.”

@faruq_laii said: “She’s not advising you to do it. She said ‘if you have to’ then you must not stay there. She’s just giving advice for your own safety. If she stop you from doing it will she fund you ? NO!”

@saint_cornel added: “The problem with Africa (Nigeria Mostly) is evident in the comment section. Everyone pretends to be righteous and hold a moral high ground until no one is looking. 70% of the ladies in Lagos are doing this. The men here condemning her are patronising them. But now everyone HOLY.”
