- Big Brother Naija has introduced its first major twist of Season 11, allowing fans to select two housemates who will automatically reach the grand finale—but with one major sacrifice attached.

Big Brother Naija has introduced its first major twist of Season 11, unveiling ‘The Gambit’—a new game feature that guarantees two housemates a place in the grand finale but disqualifies them from winning the show’s ₦160 million grand prize.
The announcement was made during Monday’s live session, with organisers simultaneously opening voting for fans to choose one male and one female housemate to become The Gambits.
According to the organisers, the two selected contestants will remain in the Big Brother house until the final day of the competition, regardless of future evictions.
However, the guaranteed spot comes at a heavy cost—they will no longer be eligible to compete for the season’s record-breaking ₦160 million prize.
Explaining the twist, Big Brother told the housemates that while The Gambits would enjoy longevity in the game, they would sacrifice their chance of emerging as the overall winner.
Despite the restriction, the selected housemates will continue participating in all house activities, tasks and challenges while remaining full contestants until the end of the show.
Voting has already commenced, with all housemates eligible except the current Head of House, Chimsom Chuka, who is exempt from the selection process.
The twist comes less than 24 hours after the Season 11 premiere and is expected to significantly reshape alliances, strategies and gameplay in the coming weeks.
