BREAKING: Rivers State Governor, Fubara Makes Fresh Appointment

• Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has appointed Benibo Anabraba as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), replacing Tammy Danagogo.

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has approved the appointment of Benibo Anabraba as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Anabraba, a former Minority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, represented Akuku-Toru Constituency II during his tenure in the legislature.

He replaces Tammy Danagogo, who had served as SSG from the second term of former Governor Nyesom Wike — now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) — through to the first two years of the Fubara administration.

According to a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communications, Honour Sirawoo, the new SSG, Benibo Anabraba, will be sworn in on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., inside the State Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt.
