CREDICORP’s role extends beyond the administration of credits. It is set to reinforce Nigeria’s credit reporting systems to ensure that every economically active citizen can develop a reliable credit score, which acts as personal equity to facilitate further access to consumer credits.

Additionally, CREDICORP will provide credit guarantees and engage in wholesale lending to financial institutions, promoting the expansion of consumer credit. The corporation emphasizes responsible borrowing and repayment behaviors, which are expected to foster a cultural shift toward sustainable growth and financial responsibility.
