Singer Spyro Reveals Why He Performed ‘Only Fine Girl’ In Harvesters Church

Nigerian singer Spyro is, facing criticism for his performance of “Only Fine Girl” at Harvesters International Gospel Center’s Christmas carol service.

VerseNews gathered that Spyro whose real name is David Oludipe defended his actions amid the public backlash.

Many had questioned the church’s decision to involve such performances in a holy event.

Responding to the uproar, Spyro clarified on Twitter, emphasizing his long-standing membership at Harvesters and his active involvement in church activities for over seven years.

He highlighted his role in various church departments and stressed the annual carol service, Fantasia, where the clip originated, was a free event open to everyone.

Asserting his right to worship and serve God like any other church member, Spyro urged understanding, reminding critics that his celebrity status doesn’t negate his humanity or his dedication to his Christian faith.
