Thugs Disrupt, Snatch Ballot Box In Imo Supplementary Election

Thugs has disrupted and snatched the ballot box on the supplementary election going on at Umuarusi Amandugba hall in the Isu local government area of Imo state.

VerseNews Nigeria reports that the thugs invaded the polling unit accompanied by suspected armed security personnel at about 09:19 Am.

It was gathered that before snatching of the ballot box, heavy security armored vehicles were patrolling the area.

Voters are unsettled and have expressed fears over the incident..

According to a resident who introduced himself as Chibuike, the attack was planned with the influence of the security men.

“We are afraid. You saw how they snatched the ballot box with security people and you it was planned. We are afraid and we are not safe. How can an election be conducted with an armoured vehicle? This is wrong,” he said.
