Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy and Colombian pop icon Shakira thrilled football fans with a live performance of “Dai Dai,” the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, during the tournament’s historic first-ever half-time show on Sunday.
The pair took to the stage at the New York New Jersey Stadium during the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain, delivering an energetic performance backed by colourful dancers, stunning visual effects and a vibrant stage production.
The performance marked FIFA’s first-ever Super Bowl-style half-time show at a World Cup final, introducing a new entertainment tradition to football’s biggest event.
Released as the tournament’s official anthem, “Dai Dai” celebrates unity, diversity and the global spirit of football.
The star-studded half-time show also featured performances and appearances from global music icons, including Madonna, Justin Bieber, BTS, and Coldplay, in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
